Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Margot Charleston collects when you visit our store or place an order, how we use it and the choices you have. Margot Charleston is owned and operated by Marisole Holdings Pty Ltd.

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if you give one) and the items you order.
• Payment details: handled directly by our payment providers. We don't see or store your full card number.
• Messages: what you send us through email or our contact form.
• Device and browsing data: your IP address, browser, device and the pages you view, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up.

How we use it

To process and deliver your order, provide customer service, handle returns, prevent fraud, send emails you've asked for (such as order updates or our newsletter), and understand how our store is used so we can improve it.

Cookies and trackers we use

• Shopify: our store runs on Shopify. Shopify sets cookies that keep your cart working, remember your region and currency, and record anonymous analytics about how the store is used.
• Shop Pay and Shop: if you use Shop Pay or Sign in with Shop, Shopify's Shop service (shop.app) processes your sign-in and payment details.
• Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), which receives your IP address when the fonts load.

We don't currently use advertising pixels such as the Meta Pixel or Google Ads tags. If that changes, we'll update this list first.

Who we share it with

• Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders.
• Payment providers, to take payment and prevent fraud.
• Our fulfillment partner and delivery carriers, to pack and deliver your order.
• Service providers who help us run the store, only as needed to provide their service.

We don't sell your personal information.

Where it's processed

Your information is processed by Shopify and its service providers, including in Canada and the United States, by our fulfillment partner in Asia, and by Marisole Holdings Pty Ltd in Australia.

How long we keep it

We keep order information for as long as we need it for the order, returns, accounting and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights and choices

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, by emailing us. You can also manage cookies in your browser settings. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from browsers that send them.

Children

Our store isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
